Hello, I would like to personally welcome you to The Sewing Garret on our little piece of cyberspace.

     Since 1993 I’ve tried to impart the love of sewing to another generation young and old.  Vintage fabric restoring and Heirloom sewing lessons were my passion back then.  Then embroidery machines come along!!  Brand new technology and new opportunities to learn and teach digitizing combined with Martha Pullen School and I was off on yet another facets of sewing.  I must say the industry of sewing machines keeps evolving and so does my curiosity to expand what I know and can incorporate into the past.  My hope is to pass that on along with Elizabeth, Missy, Susan and Mike.
     Let me tell you about them.  Elizabeth loved to do quilting with her mother and grandmother.  She then got into embroidery with a Janome 10000.  She came to The Sewing Garret eager to learn whatever there was new in sewing machines and software she has acquired for herself a Baby lock Ellegante, Coverstitch, Imagine Wave, Brother 2500, and lots of software, she has mastered Masterworks Baby Lock’s exclusive digitizing software.  She has also created the education department for us – WANT A LESSON, let us know and Elizabeth will get it together.
     Missy is our junior teacher.  She has taken classes from us since she was 13 and now helps out with the less experienced sewers.  She enjoys learning new techniques as part of her “in home school” curriculum – she is a senior this year and will graduate – WOW, time flies.
     Susan is the newest member and will help me personally in the office but will help with the phone calls and all the other little things that helps us be the best customer service shop around  - we even give directions on how to get to the golf course for the husband's to play a short 9.
     Now let me tell you about Mike – our service technician – he and his family hail from Indiana.  He has been in the sewing and vacuum industry since he was 12.  He was a Baby Lock dealer in Indiana, sold the business, his wife transferred to Deland and I am the blessed recipient of all that knowledge.  He is bringing his expertise of industrial machine repairs and the service of providing repairs in your home and in the factory.

He will be servicing all of Volusia County for that very special repair service.  Call us if you are unable to bring your machine to us.

     “EZ” ( Ed Zofko) our other service technician will be doing some vacationing this summer with family up in Ohio, but come winter when we get busy again with repairs, he’ll be back so we can in short time get your machines serviced and get you sewing with minimal inconvenience Sew keep your machines, old and new, running optimally.

     Thank you for allowing me to introduce you to my staff – the best anywhere.  We all go to schools to bring you the most accurate and fun sewing for Baby Lock, Brother and Janome.
